Welcome to North Ridge Ranch. We are very happy you stopped by and hope that we can share the magic and adventure of dog sledding with you in Muskoka. Huntsville, Ontario is where we call home and have had our kennel for over 15 years. Owner and Operator Brad Fetterley along with Leah Blenkinsop and over 50 amazing Alaskan Huskies make up a dynamic team that are excited to take you on an unforgettable dog sled tour through the wilds of Muskoka.
A little shy till she feels comfortable with you, very gentle and loving, but a very hard worker on the line
Brad’s “Mr. Dependable” for many years, but is starting to get a little attitude about all the other younger leaders stepping up to fill his boots, he may be a little moody, but he gives great hugs
Very much like her brother Bear, but without the attitude, she is always ready to greet you with a big hug, runs well anywhere in team
Brad says when she was born she looked like a slate blue colour and over time she turned white, a very happy go lucky girl that always greets you with a goofey enthusiasm
Funny name, but this guy stays skinny no matter how much you feed him. A strong and motivated wheel dog that loves to run with his son Hank
2006 - 2016
Great dog with a good work ethic, she also is recently a mother to some great pups – P-litter
Most dogs love women because of their caring and loving nature, but Coolie is more of a man’s man, he wants nothing to do with Leah and everything to do with Brad
Does not have the best eye sight, but utilizes his other senses to keep in stride on the trail, always ready to pull. Runs best on wheel with Buck
Currently the top dog in the kennel. Elgy has it all, he is a great leader, has a great stride and listens well, you will usually find him leading out Brad's team on tours and Leah's team at races
Mr. Personality, Elliott is like a human in a dogs body. He always drives hard in the harness, a solid leader
Favourite Music Genre:
What a princess. Elise is very friendly, loving and craves attention. She is quite light on her paws and doesn't enjoy pulling, but more so running along side the team
The ham, this guy is hilarious with his manners and can usually be found on his back waiting for a belly rub
Moto: There is always time for a belly rub.
No dog has more forward drive then Everest! This guy is the motivator on the team and some how can encourage the whole team to run faster
Beautiful blue eyes, her look is very unique to Alaskan huskies, but is a twin to her brother, Jenny runs great in the team and is starting to experiment with
Favourite Saying: YAHOO!
A funny little character and an almost identical look to Hank
Favourite Saying: PICK ME!
Kip came to us from the same kennel as Tonka and is fitting in wonderfully. Kip is a huge asset to any team he runs with. He may look pretty chill in this photo, but his attitude quickly changes once the musher gets on the runners.
Favourite Activity: running....duh
